VOICE TEACHER
I grew up singing with my parents and grandparents who are singers and voice teachers. After graduating with a Vocal Performance degree from UMKC Conservatory of Dance and Music I went on to get a Masters in Acting from Michigan State University. I’ve lived and worked as a singer and actor in NYC for 9 years enjoying time in a Broadway national tour, singing on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and performing regionally across the United States. I’m driven by each individual voice, and approach students with nuance, specificity, and genuine curiosity; working to help them connect truthfully and intentionally to the music and lyrics of each piece.
objective:
encourage singers to release expectations, foster curiosity and discovery, and embrace authentic connection and sound.
MY Approach combines intuition and technique:
By releasing tension
anchoring into an activated support system
and employing small physical changes that are easily reproducible
we will work to grow your true voice.
Every person should sound like themselves.
